This is a fun and relaxed craft course to help anyone with mild to moderate mental health issues. You do not need to be good at crafts to enrol, it is a medium to promote wellbeing, it is a means to escape our day to day worries and it is proven to help people deal with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. The aim of this course is to encourage social interaction through craft activities, that will promote higher self-esteem and self-confidence. Being physically and mentally stimulated can increase feelings of higher mood and lower anxiety. The course aims to stimulate creativity and imagination and provide the environment to develop self-expression, through a selection of various crafts.
# To take part in any course in our Well Programme we only ask that you are aged 19 or over and identify with having mild mental health issues (such as stress, anxiety, sleepessness, divorce, bereavement, etc) If you are unsure whether you qaulify we can arrange for someone from our wellbeing team to call you and discuss. Learners must attend an induction session where they will complete a Wellbeing questionnaire and have an opportunity to speak to a member of the Wellbeing team individually before enrolling on this course.
