Course Fees
Fees for courses are based on learners being aged 19+ and meeting funding & residency requirements. For more information please see our website or phone 01375 372476.
Non-Qualification Course
There are up to 3 prices for courses that do not lead to a qualification:
* Full fee
* Concessionary fee (in receipt of a benefit)
* Free (on selected wellbeing courses or those in receipt of JSA, ESA WRAG + Universal Credit; income limit applies)
When applying online you will need to select the correct concession to reduce your fee. By selecting a concessionary rate you are declaring you are entitled to this reduced fee. Falsely claiming a reduced rate is fraud and a report will be made to the appropriate authorities where we become aware of such activity. We perform random, regular checks.
Qualification Courses
You can book your assessment for qualification courses online but will need to enrol in person and bring in any evidence of benefits/low income.
Up to and including Level 3
These courses are subsidised by the government and there are 2 prices:
* Full Fee
* Free
English (not ESOL), Maths and Digital Skills are free to all learners, up to Level 2. Many other courses could also be free for learners if you are either unemployed, in receipt of benefits or on a low income (please ask a member of staff at your skills scan, or contact us on one of the methods below).
Where a fee is payable, for courses up to Level 2, learners could qualify for financial support through our Discretionary Learner Support Fund (DLSF); income limits apply. For level 3 courses, learners could apply for a Learning Loan to cover part or all of your course fees. We also offer flexible instalment plans, at no extra cost.
For more any information on the above please contact a member of the Learner Experience Team (LET) by emailing TACC@thurrock.gov.uk, phone 01375 372476 or speak with a member of staff at enrolment.
